The images collected in this calendar are a result of my finding the cover photograph.
The reaction to this image was so strong that I decided to look for more like it. What I discovered was that finding interesting patterns on the outside of dumpsters like I did with the cover shot was difficult and rare. I started looking inside mostly empty dumpsters and discovered to my delight that any dumpster that had some age and a fair amount of use usually had developed interesting patterns during its lifetime of collecting old paint cans and materials that had abused its insides.
